Northampton have signed Dean Bowditch on a two-year deal.
The 31-year-old left MK Dons after a six-year spell at the end of last season.
"We are really pleased to bring Dean to the club," Cobblers manager Justin Edinburgh told the club's official website.
"He is a versatile attacking player. He can play as a striker, as a midfielder or in the hole and he gives us options."
