Oldham v Oxford preview

Oldham are still searching for a goalkeeper ahead of their Sky Bet League One opener with Oxford.

Boss John Sheridan has been frustrated in his search for a number one but guaranteed he would have a signing in place for Saturday's game.

As of Friday morning the Latics, who used trialists during pre-season, still have no senior goalkeeper on their books.

Elsewhere, Sheridan hopes to have summer signing Courtney Duffus (virus) and forward Tope Obadeyi (knee) fit.

New Oxford signing Ricardinho will not be in the squad which travels to Boundary Park.

The 32-year-old left-back flew in from Brazil to sign a one-year contract but will be given time to settle in before he is available for selection.

Ricardinho is the 10th signing by manager Pep Clotet and one of those, former Newcastle and Wolves defender Mike Williamson, is set for his competitive debut after making his first pre-season appearance last week having signed a one-year contract.
