Kirk taken off the list by Gray
Northampton Town striker Andy Kirk has been removed from the transfer list.
Northampton Town striker Andy Kirk has been removed from the transfer list by manager Stuart Gray. The Northern Ireland international was put up for sale before Christmas following John Gorman's departure as boss.
But Kirk missed just two matches in League One last season, scoring seven goals for Northampton.
He has found favour under Gorman's successor Gray and has now been taken off the transfer list ahead of the new season.
"I have had a long chat with Andy as we start pre-season," Gray told the club's official website.
"I have told him that I have taken him off the transfer list, and that it is a fresh start and a clean slate for everyone.
"I inherited the situation with Andy, but I have said to him that what happened last season is in the past and I am looking forward, not back.
"I want Andy to feel settled and wanted. He has a goalscoring record to be envied and although he did not score as many goals as he or we would have liked last season we all know what a dangerous player he can be."
