League One leaders Brighton moved six points clear with a 2-0 victory over Colchester, while the other five matches all ended in draws.
Inigo Calderon opened the scoring on the stroke of half-time and Craig Noone's strike made it two 14 minutes from time. And things got even worse for the visitors as they had Pat Baldwin sent off in the 86th minute. Promotion-chasing MK Dons claimed a 2-2 draw at Leyton Orient thanks to Sean O'Hanlon's 56th-minute header. Stephen Gleeson had put the Dons ahead in the seventh minute only for goals from Scott McGleish and Terrell Forbes to turn the game in Orient's favour by the quarter-hour mark. Basement boys Walsall earned a 1-1 draw at home to Oldham, Darryl Westlake's goal just after the hour mark cancelling out Filipe Morais' first-half opener. Reda Johnson's 86th-minute strike snatched a 2-2 draw for Sheffield Wednesday against nine-man Yeovil at Hillsborough. Goals from Dean Bowditch and Paul Huntington either side of a Gary Madine effort had Yeovil 2-1 up before they had Luke Ayling and then Adam Virgo sent off in the space of six minutes midway through the second half. Giles Coke missed a 70th-minute penalty for Wednesday, but Johnson's late contribution still earned them a point. Lee Hughes' leveller gave Notts County a 1-1 draw at Hartlepool, for whom Gary Liddle was on target. Charlie Austin missed a penalty for Swindon in their goalless draw with Tranmere. Chesterfield strengthened their position at the top of League Two with a 2-0 success at Gillingham. Deane Smalley scored early in each half to send the Spireites six points clear of second-placed Wycombe. Crewe moved up to third thanks to a 2-1 victory at home to Bradford, despite playing the second half with 10 men, as Rotherham, Port Vale and Shrewsbury all failed to win. Clayton Donaldson put Crewe in front and Byron Moore restored their lead a minute after Shane Duff's equaliser. Donaldson was sent off on the stroke of half-time but Crewe still held on. Rotherham were hammed 3-0 at Stevenage with goals from Peter Winn, Byron Harrison and Scott Laird. Vale drew 0-0 with Barnet, while Shrewsbury went down 3-1 at Oxford who moved up to seventh. James Constable's second-half brace proved the difference after Mark Wright had cancelled out Asa Hall's opener for Oxford. Lincoln won 2-1 at Cheltenham thanks to goals from Stephen Hunt and Josh O'Keefe, Frankie Artus replying for the hosts. Bilel Mohsni scored twice as Southend ran in four first-half goals in their 4-1 home win over Macclesfield. Ryan Hall and Craig Easton were also on the scoresheet for the Shrimpers, Colin Daniel with Macclesfield's consolation. Michael Townsend scored the winner in Hereford's 2-1 win over Morecambe. Stewart Drummond had cancelled out Joe Colbeck's opener to bring Morecambe level.
