Bournemouth v Tranmere preview

Image: Barrett: Injured hamstring last weekend

Team news ahead of Saturday's League One clash between Bournemouth and Tranmere at Dean Court.

Bournemouth will be without injured skipper Adam Barrett. Barrett hobbled off in the early stages of the Cherries' 2-1 victory over Notts County last weekend with a hamstring problem which is likely to keep him out of action for between two and three months. Midfielders Scott Malone and Shaun MacDonald came through 45 minutes of the reserve-team trip to Torquay in midweek and both could feature against Rovers, but defender Mathieu Baudry is still sidelined with a hamstring complaint. Joe Partington, Shaun Cooper and Mark Molesley are not match-fit after their respective injuries and will not be included in manager Lee Bradbury's matchday squad, while the game comes too soon for full-back Nathan Byrne following his recovery from ankle surgery. Finally, striker Charlie Sheringham will miss the rest of the season with a foot injury. James Wallace is in line to make his Tranmere debut when Les Parry's side travel to the south coast. Everton midfielder Wallace, 20, joined Rovers on Thursday after agreeing a one-month loan deal. The news comes as a boost to Parry, whose injury worries show no sign of abating. Ash Taylor is doubtful having suffered a calf strain during Tuesday's 0-0 draw with Rochdale, although veteran centre-back Ian Goodison is expected to recover from the knee complaint that saw him substituted in the same game. Mustafa Tiryaki, subject of a reported bid from Turkish side Trabzonspor, may return to the Tranmere line-up to supplement an attack deprived of Adam McGurk (hamstring), Andy Robinson (knee) and Enoch Showunmi (leg). Goalkeeper Owain Fon Williams (hand) and defenders David Raven (thigh) and Zoumana Bakayogo (knee) remain on the sidelines.
