Southend left-back Ben Coker has signed a new three-year-deal with the option of another year, the League One newcomers have announced.
The 26-year-old joined the Shrimpers in the summer of 2013 after leaving Colchester but has gone on to establish himself in Phil Brown's side - making more than 90 appearances in all competitions.
"I'm really pleased to have got tied down at Southend," Coker, who missed a spot-kick in Southend's League Two play-off final penalty shootout victory against Wycombe, told the club's official website.
"I've had a great time here ever since I first came on trial and I'm thrilled to be able to stay at the Club.
"I feel like my game has improved massively since I joined the Club. We had a great season last year and I'm sure this campaign and in the future we'll earn more success."
In a busy day for the Roots Hall club, it also emerged that Graham Coughlan has signed a new three-year deal to become Brown's assistant manager.
