Scunthorpe v Oldham preview

Image: Stephen Dawson: Struggling with a hamstring injury

Scunthorpe captain Stephen Dawson is a doubt for the home game against Oldham with a hamstring problem which meant he had to be substituted during the first half of the 2-1 loss to Fleetwood.

New manager Nick Daws took Dawson off as a precautionary measure as the player only recently returned to action after missing much of the first half of the campaign with a knee cartilage problem.

Midfielder Luke Williams is on the road to recovery after missing Scunthorpe's last two matches.

Williams was injured in the victory over Southend a fortnight ago but is unlikely to be fit in time to face Latics.

Oldham boss John Sheridan has played down injury concerns over forward Aaron Amadi-Holloway after he was forced off late on in Tuesday's win at Peterborough.

Sheridan said the 23-year-old had a 'little twist' of the ankle but expects him to be fit.

Brian Wilson is available again having been a substitute at London Road following his groin injury, while Joseph Mills is back in the squad following the birth of his daughter.
