Former Bristol City midfielder Gary Owers is back at the club as part of Keith Millen's backroom team.
Millen has recruited Owers, part of City's promotion-winning side in 1998, to be among the scouting and coaching set-up at Ashton Gate.
"Gary is someone I have known for a long time," said Millen.
"He is coming in mainly on the recruitment side of things. He will be going to games and watching players but while he is at the club he will also be involved in the training and coaching."
Millen has also asked sports scientist Kunie Odetoyinbo to stay at the club for another season.
