Nottingham Forest are closing in on a deal to bring Slovenia international Bojan Jokic to the City Ground on loan for the remainder of the season, Sky sources understand.
The 29-year-old Villarreal left-back was in Nottingham finalising the deal on Monday afternoon.
The Championship side have been on the lookout for a defender since Daniel Pinillos was ruled out for the remainder of the campaign with a serious knee ligament injury suffered in the 2-1 win over MK Dons on December 19.
And Jokic appears to fit the bill, having struggled for regular La Liga football with Villarreal this term, although he is a regular in cup competitions.
The experienced defender has earned 72 caps for Slovenia and appeared in all three matches at the 2010 World Cup, including their 1-0 loss to England in Port Elizabeth.
