Defender set to play in behind-closed-doors game on Tuesday
Nottingham Forest defender Julian Bennett is closing in on his first-team comeback from a long-term knee injury.
Bennett has not played for Forest since Boxing Day 2008, but is set to feature in a behind-closed-doors game on Tuesday.
The 25-year-old has been given the go-ahead to face Coventry City in the match as he steps up his bid for a return to Forest's plans.
Forest manager Billy Davies is also expected to use the encounter against Coventry as an opportunity to hand some of his fringe players a run-out.
Bennett, who has made 107 appearances for Forest since joining from Walsall in January 2006, has yet to feature for the first team since Davies took charge at the City Ground.
