Forest chief reacts to latest rumours over his future
Nottingham Forest boss Billy Davies insists he remains committed to the club despite more rumours over his future.
It has been suggested the club's hierarchy are unhappy with Davies for working an alleged three-day week as he spends too much time at home in Glasgow.
Forest's board are thought to be questioning why Davies does not spend more time at the training ground with the Scot reportedly returning home after Saturday matches and only returning to Forest on Thursday mornings when there are no midweek games.
However, Davies is unhappy with the claims and he insists he is happy with how he goes about his job.
"Managers have many roles. It is not just about sitting in your office, it is about travelling the world and doing other aspects of his job," Davies told the
Nottingham Post.
"I am very pleased with the conversations I have had with regard to my conduct.
Comfortable
"I am more than comfortable with my conduct.
"I have no intention of breaking my contract and discussing who I have had conversations with and what was said.
"But if anyone has an issue with it, I am more than happy to bring my lawyer up to Nottingham and sit and have a discussion about the situation and we can see where it takes us."
Davies is adamant he has no plans to leave Forest and wants to lead them to promotion.
"I have no intention whatsoever of going anywhere," said Davies. "My only intention is to see out my contract at this football club.
"I will continue, to the last day of my contract, to work with the resources provided and to do the best job I can.
"It is a matter of pride for me. This is about football. I want to get the job done. I want to get this team promoted."
