Rejuvenated Nottingham Forest probably can't wait for their next game after making it two wins from two under Steve Cotterill by beating Blackpool, according to Alan McInally.
Radoslaw Majewski's late strike ensured that Forest followed up last week's 2-0 victory over Middlesbrough with another three-point haul, after Kevin Phillips had cancelled out the game's opening strike by Wes Morgan.
Forest came through despite having Guy Moussi sent off with eight minutes to go and McInally said it was clear how much Cotterill's new job means to him.
"He kicked every ball on the sideline - I mean every ball," said McInally.
"He made a couple of big decisions. He brings on Matt Derbyshire and then Moussi gets sent off for a second yellow card, so he takes Derbyshire off and brings on Andy Reid.
"He's not happy and he obviously has to console him as he takes him off to try and make sure that they hold onto the 2-1.
Impressed
"But I must admit at times they looked pretty good and Morgan was always good; he's a good defender, he's very good from set pieces and he managed to bag the first one.
"Phillips got Blackpool back in the game - 1-1 at half-time - and even then you thought that Blackpool would probably go on and win. They had a couple of great chances.
"I've got to say I was really impressed with Thomas Ince, who is obviously Paul Ince's son, and Callum McManaman who were both on the flanks; they were very, very good indeed.
"But I must admit that in the middle of the park with Barry Ferguson and Jonjo Shelvey, you expect more, much more and I think that's where Ian Holloway will be very disappointed."
Confidence
Forest were indebted to goalkeeper Lee Camp, who made a couple of crucial saves to keep Blackpool at bay and McInally believes that providing they can keep it tight at the back, the only way is up for Forest.
"I think defensively they are pretty good, actually," said McInally. "What they do have is a super goalkeeper who, incidentally, has made two great saves - one from Ian Evatt, while Phillips had a great chance to score.
"Without Lee Camp in the goal today Blackpool would probably have got something. But those wins with a new manager coming in will give them a bit of confidence.
"Certainly, if you can go to Blackpool and win then why not? Of course, he's only just taken the job, they won last week, they've won again; they probably can't wait for the next game."
