Bulgarian keeper to link up with Gainsborough Trinity

Nottingham Forest youngster Dimitar Evtimov has been sent on loan to Gainsborough Trinity in order to pick up valuable experience. The 18-year-old is highly-regarded at the City Ground but he is not yet ready to be thrust into the senior fold. That means the Bulgarian will be given ample opportunity to take in regular action elsewhere. The promising goalkeeper has already taken in a spell at Evo-Stik League Division One South side Ilkeston Town this season and only recently returned to Forest.

Benefit

He played three matches during that spell and will have benefited greatly from competitive minutes. Evtimov will get another chance to catch the eye after being given the go-ahead to link up with Conference North side Gainsborough Trinity. He will spend the next month with Trinity and will hope to force his way into their starting XI as quickly as possible. "We had some really good reports of how well Dimi did at Ilkeston and he will no doubt benefit from the experience of playing at a higher level," Forest's academy director Nick Marshall told the club's official website.
