Nottingham Forest have announced that manager Steve Cotterill has left his post at the City Ground after less than a year in charge.

Nottingham Forest have announced that manager Steve Cotterill has left the club after less than a year in charge.
Kuwaiti businessman Fawaz Al-Hasawi and his family completed a takeover at the City Ground earlier this week and they have wasted little time in deciding to make a change.
A meeting was held with Cotterill on Wednesday and the Al-Hasawis have now thanked the outgoing boss as they move forward in a new direction.
"Nottingham Forest can confirm that manager Steve Cotterill has departed the club with immediate effect," read a statement on the club's
official website.
"Mr Cotterill met with the club's new owners, the Al-Hasawi family, yesterday and after long deliberations they have decided to make a new appointment in a bid to deliver their long-term vision.
"The club would like to acknowledge their gratitude to Mr Cotterill for guiding it through an extremely difficult and traumatic period and for retaining the side's Championship status last season."
Successor
Cotterill was appointed by Forest last October following a poor start to the season under Steve McClaren, and the club then had to deal with the death of owner Nigel Doughty in February.
Cotterill helped Forest steer clear of relegation to finish 19th in the Championship, but he will not now get the chance to build on his good work.
The Al-Hasawi family have made it clear that they want to bring the club back to its glory days and they will now begin the search for a successor.
A number of names have already been linked with the role, including Alex McLeish, Darren Ferguson, Mick McCarthy and Neil Warnock.
Former Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has also emerged as one of the bookmakers' favourites to fill the vacancy, along with Diego Maradona.
Nottingham Forest have placed assistant manager Rob Kelly in temporary charge of team affairs.
It has also been confirmed that the club's pre-season tour of America has been cancelled.
