POOL STRIKER SEALS DONS MOVE

BLACKPOOL have completed the transfer of young forward Adam Nowland to Wimbledon for an undisclosed sum.

Although out of contract at Bloomfield Road, there will be a fee involved because the 19-year-old is too young for the Bosman Ruling to take full effect.

There is also believed to be a sell-on clause inserted into his contract at Selhurst Park, and Nowland will be hoping to make a major impression in the capital.

Seasiders boss Steve McMahon has also confirmed that five other players will not be signing new deals to play for the newly-promoted side next season.

Junior Bent, Steve Bushell, Mike Newell, Steve Garvey and keeper Adam Rachel are all amongst some 700 players looking for new clubs this summer, and they will be looking to get fixed up before the 2001/2002 campaign kicks off.
