Seasiders boss tracking Barnsley's in-demand winger
Ian Holloway has confirmed Blackpool's interest in Adam Hammill after
skysports.com earlier revealed they have had a
bid accepted for the Barnsley winger.
Hammill is regarded as one of the most exciting talents outside the Premier League, after leaving Liverpool for the Tykes, and a clause in his contract means he can move on for as little as £500,000.
The 22-year-old has already spent time on loan at Blackpool and Holloway would dearly love him back, although he concedes there is plenty of competition for his coveted signature.
"There are lots of people who would be interested in Adam Hammill," Holloway said.
Great situation
"His agent has done a good job and there is a clause in his contract which guarantees you can get him.
"We're not the only ones who know that, but we like the boy and we've had him on loan here.
"But he's not my player and there are a lot of things that have got to happen before he is.
"There are a lot of other clubs who want him, so the boy is in a great situation."
Dynamic
And Tykes boss Mark Robins is already preparing for life at Oakwell without Hammill.
Robins said: "The situation with Adam Hammill is out of my control and we don't know when or whether he will go.
"That doesn't help because we would have to look to replace him and where do you get another Adam Hammill?
"We're trying to do that and maybe it might change the dynamic of the team, but that all depends on the cost and package.
"Nobody has bid an amount that's acceptable to the club. The figure is there and it's out of our control really."
