Moroccan defender signs on until the end of the season

Morocco international Salaheddine Sbai has joined Blackpool on a deal until the end of the season. The Seasiders will have the option to extend that agreement by a further 12 months over the summer should they be suitably impressed. The 25-year-old arrives in England from French side Nimes, with whom he has spent the last two years. He has previously turned out for Charleroi, Ronse and Tubize and has won two senior caps for this country. The full-back was at Bloomfield Road on Tuesday to watch Blackpool's agonising 3-2 defeat to Manchester United and has now completed his switch. International clearance has been received and he trained with his new team-mates for the first time on Thursday. He is expected to go straight into Ian Holloway's squad for Wednesday's home date with West Ham.
