Blackpool have completed the signing of Portuguese central midfielder Tiago Gomes on a free transfer.
The 26-year-old, who began his career with Benfica, was out of contract after his deal with Spanish club Hercules expired.
He made nearly 100 appearances in Spain and is in line to make his Seasiders debut in a friendly with Wrexham at the Racecourse Ground this Saturday.
Ian Holloway's side, who suffered Championship play-off final agony last season, begin the new campaign with a trip to Millwall on 18th August.
