Holloway hoping to wrap up deal for defender

Sky Sports understands that Matheus Vivian is mulling over the offer of a contract from Championship side Blackpool. The Brazilian-born defender has recently taken in a trial spell with the Seasiders. Blackpool would have no problem pushing through a deal for the 30-year-old as he holds an Italian passport. Securing his signature would represent quite a coup for Ian Holloway's side, as they look to force their way back into the Premier League. Vivian has spent the last seven years in France, captaining Grenoble, Metz and Nantes. He has also turned out in Germany, Spain and his native Brazil. It is understood that terms to bring him to England have been tabled and that an agreement could be put in place inside the next few days.
