Oldham boss David Dunn takes charge of his first game as permanent manager against Scunthorpe and will be without on-loan trio Cameron Dummigan, Jay Fulton and Simonas Stankevicius.

Burnley defender Dummigan (Northern Ireland Under-21s), Swansea midfielder Fulton (Scotland Under-21s) and Leicester striker Stankevicius (Lithuania) are all on international duty.

Defender Daniel Lafferty, also on loan from Burnley, is set for his home debut after making his first appearance for the club in last week's 3-3 draw at Gillingham.

Striker Jonathan Forte (knee) and on-loan Celtic defender Eoghan O'Connell (thigh) both remain sidelined.

Scunthorpe midfielder Luke Williams could return to Mark Robins' squad following a knee injury sustained on the opening day of the season.

Williams came through a development game in midweek and Robins is hoping to include him among the substitutes, while winger Tommy Rowe is expected to retain his place after recently joining on loan from Wolves.

Midfielder Jamie Ness (hamstring) remains sidelined after missing last week's home win against Fleetwood and defender Murray Wallace faces a late fitness test after taking a knock that forced him out at half-time.

Striker Darius Henderson remains an injury concern and both defender Niall Canavan (ankle) and midfielder Stephen Dawson (knee) are still out.
