Oldham vs Notts County preview
Monday 31 December 2018 13:08, UK
Pete Wild will remain in charge of Oldham for their home game against Notts County.
Academy manager Wild is taking the first team after Frankie Bunn was sacked ahead of Saturday's win at Port Vale.
After the 6-0 defeat at Carlisle, Wild made two changes, recalling defender Tom Haymer and midfielder Jordan Lyden. Oldham won 4-1 at Vale Park, so Wild might be tempted to name an unchanged team.
Notts County will check on the fitness of defenders Dan Jones and Jamie Turley. Full-back Jones was injured in the warm-up on Saturday and was a late withdrawal from the squad against Bury, while centre-back Turley failed a fitness test on the morning of the match.
However, Magpies manager Neal Ardley could be tempted to stick with an unchanged team after a clean sheet and a point from the goalless draw with the Shakers. Lewis Alessandra and Enzio Boldewijn continue their recoveries from knee injuries and are making progress, although it will be January or February before either are back in first-team contention.
