Oldham vs Tranmere preview

Tranmere will make a late call on midfielder Luke McCullough

Oldham will again be without suspended midfielder Jose Baxter when they host in-form Tranmere in the Sky Bet League Two at Boundary Park on Tuesday.

Baxter, who was sent off for a straight red card during his side's 2-0 defeat at Lincoln on March 12, will serve the second of his three-match ban.

New manager Pete Wild will be without midfielder Dan Gardner, while on-loan striker Oladapo Afolayan also remains a doubt.

Wild recorded the first win of his second spell in charge of Oldham with a 2-0 win over Grimsby on Saturday and will be hoping for a similar performance against fifth-placed Tranmere.

McCullough limped off 10 minutes into Tranmere's 3-0 win at home to Carlisle on Saturday and it is unknown yet whether he will be available.
