Midfielder joins Oldham after successful trial
Midfielder Jason Jarrett has been rewarded for an impressive trial at Oldham with a six-month contract.
The 30-year-old, who had a 15-match loan spell with the Latics in 2007/08, has made an outstanding impact during pre-season.
He has illustrated his versatility by deputising for injured captain Sean Gregan at centre-back, earning himself a deal which could be extended.
Latics manager Paul Dickov is delighted to have secured his services, saying: "Jason has been fantastic since joining us initially on trial.
"I cannot speak too highly of Jason's attitude, ability and fitness which is all you can ask for from a player.
"He has been offered a short-term deal but, if he continues as he has done so far, it will be extended."
