Alex Bray has signed a one-year contract extension at Swansea City keeping keep him at the Liberty Stadium until June 2017.

The winger joined Swansea in 2010 from Swindon but has yet to make a senior appearance for the Premier League club.

Much of the last two years of Bray's career have been spent in rehabilitation after he underwent surgery on his anterior cruciate ligament in 2014, ruling him out of action for 16 months.

Bray returned to action for the Swansea U21 team in January but is still working hard in rehab to ensure a similar injury is prevented.

"One of my targets during my rehabilitation was to earn myself a new deal, so it feels fantastic to achieve that," the 20-year-old told Swansea's official website.

"I am still working hard off the field in rehab to try and prevent a re-occurrence of the same injury, I feel at my physical peak but I am still trying to get where I was technically over a year ago.
