Swansea are to hold contract negotiations with Scott Sinclair's agent while separate discussions will take place over Ferrie Bodde's future.
Decision to be made on Bodde after talks with injury victim
Swansea will hold face-to-face contract talks with Scott Sinclair's representatives before the end of May while separate club discussions will take place over the future of Ferrie Bodde.
The Liberty Stadium outfit have been planning negotiations with former Chelsea player Sinclair for the past two months due to the fact his current deal expires in the summer of 2013.
Swansea chairman Huw Jenkins now wants to step up talks with Sinclair's agent as the club aim to avoid allowing one of their key players to go into next season in the final year of a contract.
"We said we would sit down and discuss things with Scott at the end of the season and that's something we will be looking to do over the next few weeks," Jenkins told the
South Wales Evening Post.
"Hopefully I will have had the chance to meet Scott's agent before the end of the month."
Swansea are also planning discussions with Bodde over the injury-plagued midfielder's future ahead of the conclusion of his contract at the end of June.
Delay
The former Den Haag player has had two knee operations since November 2008 and had looked set for more surgery after suffering a new cruciate ligament problem in February.
Swansea do seem to be close to a contract extension with another injury victim, Kemy Agustien, who would be a free agent this summer.
But with it yet to be decided whether Bodde will again go under the knife, it remains to be seen if he will have any future with Swansea.
"Ferrie went back home to go through things with the surgeon he has worked with," said Jenkins.
"There has been a delay in going ahead with the operation because they are still trying to decide whether he needs to have one."
He added: "We are going to sit down with Ferrie once the season ends and talk through everything with him.
"Once we have had those discussions, we will see where we go from there."
