Former Swansea midfielder Scott Donnelly is eager to get back into action with a new club after his Liberty Stadium contract was cancelled by mutual consent.
The 24-year-old, who joined the Swans from Aldershot in June 2010, has been sidelined since suffering a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament whilst on loan at Wycombe in December.
Donnelly was unable to make the breakthrough into the first team in South Wales, making just two appearances, and is now
on the lookout for a new employer.
The former QPR trainee told
Sky Sports that his spell in the treatment room has increased his appetite for the game even further.
"You wouldn't believe how much I'm looking forward to the new season starting because I didn't think I'd miss playing the game as much as I have done," he said.

"I've hated every minute of not being able to play, especially with the position that Wycombe found themselves in with them trying to avoid relegation.
"I've never watched so much football in my life though and I've tried to take as much on board as a spectator as I can, but getting the chance to kick a ball with the lads again will be great."
Before the injury Donnelly had caught the eye with some impressive performances for Wycombe, making 40 appearances over a 10-month spell at Adams Park.
"I had a good time there after it took me a while to get my sharpness back, but once I did it was great with a few goals and helping them gain promotion," he added.
"Last season I started really well in League One, scoring five goals in 16 games, and I was really enjoying it, but then the injury struck and that is part and parcel of football, so I couldn't have done a lot about that."
