Defender delighted to resolve future at Brunton Park
Carlisle United defender Danny Livesey has pledged his future to the club by signing a new two-year contract.
Livesey has made in excess of 230 appearances for the Cumbrians since joining from Bolton Wanderers in late 2004 and has been rewarded with an extension until 2012.
The 25-year-old, who struggled with separate hamstring and pelvis injuries towards the end of the season, is happy to have laid to rest any doubts surrounding his future.
"I've had a fantastic time with this club and it definitely doesn't feel like I've been here for over five years already," said Livesey.
"I'm obviously delighted that this has all been sorted out and I'm really looking forward to getting back to it and hopefully helping towards a push into the top half of the table next season.
"It didn't take long for me to decide at all. The manager spoke to me and told me that he wanted me to stay and it's just been a case of getting everything sorted and then getting the signatures done."
