Rovers unlikely to risk Webster; Canaries wait on Ruddy
Doncaster Rovers will be looking to put history to one side when Norwich City visit the Keepmoat Stadium.
Rovers have won just one of their 10 meetings with Norwich, which came in September 1935, and have lost on eight occasions.
Sean O'Driscoll, whose side drew 2-2 at Watford at the weekend, is expected to be without midfielder Byron Webster for Tuesday's game.
Webster is struggling to overcome the metatarsal injury which has kept him on the sidelines so far this season and Rovers are unlikely to risk him.
O'Driscoll will definitely be missing long-term absentees James Chambers and Wayne Thomas (both knee) and James Hayter, who has a hamstring problem.
However, youngster Ryan Mason, on loan from Tottenham, may be in contention for a recall after his late cameo on Saturday when Rovers secured a point at Watford thanks to a 90th-minute George Friend equaliser.
Norwich news
Norwich boss Paul Lambert is waiting on the fitness of goalkeeper John Ruddy ahead of the Championship trip to Doncaster.
Ruddy missed Saturday's 2-1 win over Barnsley with a dead leg sustained in training and will be given until the last minute to recover.
Declan Rudd played against the Tykes and will fill in again if required at the Keepmoat Stadium as the Canaries look for another three points.
Midfielder Andrew Surman is beginning a two-month lay-off with a knee injury so Simon Lappin should continue in his place, though Anthony McNamee staked his claim for a start after coming off the bench to create both goals on Saturday.
Centre-half Michael Nelson is sidelined for two months with an ankle injury so on-loan West Brom man Leon Barnett will continue.
Full-back Steven Smith is yet to make his debut since suffering an ankle injury in pre-season and Zak Whitbread is still out with a calf injury.
