Doncaster Rovers have handed Dennis Souza a contract until February after the former Barnsley defender impressed on trial.
Souza has been training with Rovers in recent weeks following a spell playing in Qatar with Al-Saliya Sports Club.
He has done enough to warrant a contract from manager Sean O'Driscoll and he is due to stay at the Keepmoat Stadium until 8th February next year.
Rovers are awaiting international clearance to finalise the deal, with Souza unlikely to be involved in Tuesday's game at Burnley.
Souza spent two seasons with Barnsley, making 87 appearances for the club before leaving Oakwell in 2009.
