Millwall's Lee Gregory remarkably missed two penalties in the space of five minutes late on in the 0-0 draw at Oldham on Saturday.

The play-off chasing Lions earned their eighth consecutive clean sheet but they were denied at the death as Connor Ripley twice kept out striker Gregory.

Ripley made the first save in the 90th minute, diving away to his right after Gregory had been tripped by Chris Taylor.

Deep into injury time Millwall were awarded their second spot-kick for a handball by Michael Ngoo, but Ripley produced more heroics going to his left.

"It's frustrating because we had great chances to win the game," Millwall boss Neil Harris told the club's official website.

"It's another point gained but we need to be making the most of our chances. It's frustrating but it's not the end of the world.

"We have got spirit and togetherness in this team, I think you could see that by the way the boys got around Lee Gregory after missing the second penalty."
