Millwall showcased the work that helped the club win the League One Family Club of the Year as part of the EFL's Community Day of Action on Tuesday.
The south London club put on two events to mark the day; a walking football session in the morning and a football match in the afternoon for men suffering from mental health issues.
Millwall Community CEO Steve Bradshaw was delighted for the opportunity to highlight the hard work being done in the community.
"Everybody from the owner to the manager through to the people engaged with the delivery of our community programme are absolutely committed to being a positive influence in Millwall on a day-to-day basis.
"A day like today allows us to highlight some of the programmes that people wouldn't expect to us be involved with.
"Millwall is one of the oldest community trusts in the country," he told Sky Sports News HQ. "We are over 30 years old and have worked tirelessly over that period to bring the positive message of Millwall in its local boroughs and across the country.
"Of course attention is sometimes attracted into other areas but I think local people understand the commitment the club makes to its community.
"For us it's about looking at what the Millwall badge and the Millwall kit can offer people in the community and use that for the benefit of people who are perhaps less fortunate than some of us."
