Millwall have completed the signing of central defender Jake Cooper on a three-year deal for an undisclosed fee.
The 22-year-old has now joined the Lions from Reading on a permanent basis after spending the second half of last season on loan at The Den.
Prior to that loan move, Cooper had spent the entirety of his career at the Berkshire club. He made 54 appearances for the Royals, netting four goals. His performances even merited a call-up to the England U20 side.
Since his loan move to Millwall, the centre-half has featured 18 times, scoring twice. Cooper played a crucial role in helping the Lions secure their promotion via the Sky Bet League One play-offs.
"I'm really pleased to be back here at Millwall and to have secured my long-term future," Cooper told millwallfc.co.uk.
"It was an incredible experience to be a part of what we achieved at Wembley and I can't wait to get stuck in again as part of what is a great group of lads.
"I've been training and playing in pre-season games since the start of the summer so I'm fit and raring to go."
Lions boss Neil Harris adds Cooper to his five other summer additions that include Wolves duo Jed Wallace and George Saville.
"I'm delighted that we have been able to bring Jake back to the club on a permanent basis," Harris said.
"I've made no secret of my appreciation and respect for how he performed last season and how we've been so keen to sign him this summer."
Millwall will begin their Sky Bet Championship season with an away trip to Nottingham Forest on August 5.
