Lions boss could retain on-loan defender
Millwall manager Kenny Jackett has confirmed he will decide after their Middlesbrough clash whether to retain Jens Berthel Askou.
The Danish defender is currently at The Den on loan from Norwich City and his stint with the south Londoners is due to end this weekend.
With injured defenders Tony Craig and Darren Ward on the mend it had been thought that Askou, who has made just one appearance all month having been sent off against Leicester, would no longer be required.
However, Jackett likes what he sees from Askou and could yet extend his loan, despite the prospect of competition for places increasing at the back.
"We will see after Saturday's game," said Jackett. "I do like him and I do think he has got a future.
"It is true some defenders are coming back from injury but we also have Darren Purse and Scott Barron who are on nine bookings and that is another consideration."
