Millwall aim to hold on to striker

Millwall have turned down a transfer request from Steve Morison as they look to keep hold of the striker. Skysports.com revealed earlier on Friday that Morison had asked to leave after deciding he wanted to pursue a career elsewhere. The Lions have now confirmed that his request has been rejected because he remains a crucial part of Kenny Jackett's plans for the future. The Wales international moved to The Den from Stevenage two years ago and only signed a new deal in February to keep him at the club until 2013. Norwich are understood to have failed with two bids for Morison as they start preparing for life in the Premier League next season. The 27-year-old has made no secret of his desire to play in the top flight at some point in his career.
