Teenage striker signs Crewe contract
Crewe Alexandra have handed Danny Gardner a contract which is set to run until the end of the season.
Skysports.com revealed back in January that the Railwaymen were hoping to tie the teenager down on a short-term deal.
The club later confirmed that it was their intention to keep the 19-year-old at Gresty Road, with terms placed on the table.
Gardner has now put pen to paper and will remain with the League Two outfit until at least the summer.
The former Celtic striker had been on trial with Crewe for the past month, having been spotted plying his trade in non-league.
He was released by the Hoops at the end of last season and had spent much of the 2009/10 campaign attempting to put himself back in the shop window.
