Crewe manager Steve Davis has revealed that he is hopeful of keeping current loanee Jamie Lowry at the club for the rest of the season.

Crewe manager Steve Davis has revealed that he is hopeful of keeping current loanee Jamie Lowry at the club for the rest of the season.
The midfielder has made quite an impression for the League Two side since his arrival from Chesterfield, making nine appearances for the club.
The Cornishman has been impressively consistent in his midfield role and now Davis hopes assistant manager Neil Baker can sway Chesterfield counterpart John Sheridan into allowing the player to extend his stint until the end of the current campaign.
"Neil has spoken to Chesterfield and we are waiting for them to come back," said Davis in
The Sentinel.
"They won last weekend, so John Sheridan might not want to change his side.
"I want to extend his loan, but it depends on what his club wants to do."
Davis also admitted he has been in contact with Burton Albion boss Paul Peschisolido over the prospect of keeping striker Greg Pearson at the club past his current loan deal, which runs until February 20th.
"I'll find out from Paul if we can keep Greg a bit longer too," he added. "Having them both here has strengthened us. We want players to come in who will improve the team and they've both done that.
"They've also had an impact on the way the others have played as they know if they don't perform they won't get in the team."
