Gillingham have appointed former manager Peter Taylor as their new director of football.
Taylor has had two spells in charge of the club, leading them to promotion to League One via the play-offs in 2000, before returning to Priestfield 13 years later following the sacking of Martin Allen.
The news was confirmed after meetings had been held under the auspices of chairman Paul Scally on Monday when it was also revealed that Taylor would 'oversee recruitment and all footballing policy'.
Most recently Taylor, 64, has been with Indian Super League franchise Kerala Blasters and also worked as an assistant with the New Zealand national team.
Gills head coach Ady Pennock, who was appointed in January, will continue as head coach for the 2017/18 Sky Bet League One season.
