Salford City's reward for reaching the first round of The Emirates FA Cup for the first time is a home tie against Notts County.

James Poole's stunning strike from inside the centre circle was enough to defeat Southport at the weekend.

Now the team owned by members of Manchester United's famous class of '92 including Gary Neville, Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes are preparing to host League Two opposition.

FC United of Manchester - the side spawned from the sale of Manchester United to the Glazer family in 2005 - will host Chesterfield.

Didcot Town, the lowest-ranked side left in the competition, also have a home tie to look ahead to against Exeter City.

Elsewhere, Bradford City - who shocked Chelsea with a 4-2 win at Stamford Bridge in last season's tournament - begin their campaign at Aldershot Town.

Cambridge United, who took Manchester United to a replay last term, also face non-league opposition as they welcome Basingstoke Town to Abbey Stadium.

Carlisle United, meanwhile, face a repeat of the longest journey in the Football League after they were paired with fellow League Two side Plymouth Argyle.

A group of 169 fans made the 779-mile round trip from Cumbria in August only to see their team lose 4-1 and will be hoping for a better outcome on their return to Home Park.

A total of 40 ties will be played on the weekend of November 7 as the journey to the final at Wembley on May 21 continues.
