Sampson pleased to sign Lumley
Former Wolves goalkeeper Billy Lumley has joined Northampton on non-contract terms.
The 19-year-old has been training with the Glenn Hoddle Academy in Spain since leaving Molineux in November 2008.
Cobblers boss Ian Sampson is thrilled with the deal and hopes Lumley can challenge Chris Dunn for the No.1 jersey.
"We are pleased to get Billy in," said Sampson.
"He has been interesting a number of clubs and there have been quite a few keen on him. I have known about him for a while and we were interested in him when he originally joined Wolves but they won the race to sign him then.
"He is coming in to increase the pressure on Chris Dunn. Competition for places is healthy and hopefully brings the best out of players."
