Huddersfield Town are to release Australia international defender Jason Davidson from his contract, according to Sky sources.
Head coach David Wagner is happy to allow the 26-year-old Australian defender to leave, with Sky sources understanding he will be joining Croatian champions HNK Rijeka.
Davidson joined the Terriers in 2015 from West Brom and returned to Huddersfield recently after spending a year on loan with Dutch side FC Groningen where he made 22 appearances.
The 26-year-old Australian, who is keen to play first-team football ahead of next summer's World Cup in Russia, has one year left on his contract at Huddersfield and does not feature in Wagner's plans.
