Former Hearts and Everton defender Gary Naysmith will travel with Aberdeen to Germany ahead of a possible switch to Pittodrie.
The 33-year-old has played for Scotland 46 times, and made 26 appearances in helping Huddersfield win promotion to the Championship in England. He agreed to link up with the squad to provide cover in the left-back position in the absence of Clark Robertson who is currently recovering from injury and will miss the start of the season. Manager Craig Brown also confirmed Niall McGinn would travel with team for pre-season after requiring an X-ray following the friendly with Elgin.
