Fikayo Tomori joins Brighton and Hove Albion on loan from Chelsea

Brighton have signed right-back Fikayo Tomori on loan from Chelsea until the end of the season, the Sky Bet Championship club have announced.

The 19-year-old has been a regular in the Blues' Under-23 squad over the past two seasons and made his first-team debut in the Londoners' last match of the 2015-16 campaign against Leicester.

Seagulls boss Chris Hughton told the official website: "We have brought in Fikayo on loan from Chelsea to provide us with some additional cover in the full-back positions, and we are delighted to welcome him to the club.

"He is a highly-rated young full-back, by both Chelsea and England; he is predominantly a right-back but he can play in any position across the back four and will give us good defensive cover for the first team for the second half of the season."
