Kitson blow for Seagulls

BRIGHTON have been hit by the news that Paul Kitson could be out until Christmas after being told he needs to spend another month in the treatment room.

The former West Ham striker has been out for the last four weeks, after undergoing a back operation on October 17.

Manager Steve Coppell is keen to have all of this squad fit and available at the moment, as the former Brentford boss needs every player available in his bid to guide the side away from the relegation zone.

Kitson has yet to score for The Seagulls this season, having played four times without hitting the back of the net, before undergoing back surgery.

The news of the setback could barely have come at a worse time for Coppell, as front-line strikers Bobby Zamora and on-loan star Graham Barrett are both struggling with knocks.
