Teenage goalkeeper earns one-year contract
Teenage goalkeeper Mitch Walker has been handed a one-year contract by Brighton & Hove Albion.
The 18-year-old made his first-team debut in the final game of the season, keeping a clean sheet in a 1-0 win against Yeovil.
Walker told the club's
official website: "To be on the bench for a few games and then finally make my debut in the last match was great and it's brilliant to sign for a further year."
Walker also paid tribute to former Brighton goalkeeper Michel Kuipers, who recently joined non-league Crawley after 10 years at the club.
Walker added: "He's had a big effect on my training since I've been at the club. He's a great professional. It's sad to see him go and I wish him well at Crawley."
