Minnesota United goalkeeper Sammy Ndjock scores classic own goal against Bournemouth
Thursday 21 July 2016 10:30, UK
Remember the name: Sammy Ndjock.
Minnesota United's goalkeeper scored a classic own-goal as his side lost 4-0 to Premier League side Bournemouth.
The Cherries took the lead with 24 minutes on the clock through the returning Callum Wilson before Ndjock's moment of madness, which has made him an overnight sensation for all the wrong reasons.
The Cameroon international inadvertently threw the ball into his own net as he tried to start a quick counter attack. As he goes to throw the ball, he changes his mind during his back-lift and the ball ends slipping out of his hands and his momentum directs it straight into the back of his net.
It really has to be seen to be believed.
Bournemouth cantered to victory with further goals from Wilson and Lewis Grabban, but it was a game to be remembered for Ndjock's error.
