Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe is delighted Tyrone Mings and Charlie Daniels have signed extended contracts at the south coast club, and says both players deserve their new deals.
Mings has recently returned to action following a bad injury, while fellow defender Daniels continues to impress his manager and remains with the Cherries until the summer of 2020.
Speaking at Friday's pre-match press conference, ahead of their trip to Arsenal, Howe said: "It's always good to see players commit themselves to the club.
"Tyrone had a really serious knee injury, and has shown a good attitude during rehab, and has improved since he started to play again.
"You can see the improvements game by game.
"As for Charlie, he is the ultimate professional and a standout trainer on a daily basis. His commitment and attitude to training is second to none.
"And because of that he has made huge strides in his career and deserves his contract."
And looking ahead to the game at the Emirates on Saturday, Howe says Simon Francis is fit again and could make his comeback in north London.
Regarding any new injuries, Howe added: "I haven't seen all of the international boys since they came back but we're in pretty good shape.
"The ones I have seen are fine. Simon Francis is in contention to play and apart from that, it's as we were.
"Hamstring injuries are hard to predict but he's (Simon) passed all the tests and is a huge player for us."
Howe also praised young midfielder Lewis Cook who played for the England under-21s in midweek.
He went on: "He has a massive part to play in our future. I was very impressed with him during the week.
"He made good decisions and is improving all the time. His career is in a good place and has had to be patient and wait for his chances in the Premier League.
"But they will definitely come, if not short term then definitely the long term."
