Huddersfield beat leaders Brighton, Sheffield Wednesday hit Bristol Rovers for six and Plymouth overcame Exeter. Huddersfield came from behind to beat leaders Brighton 2-1 at the Galpharm Stadium. Glenn Murray missed a first-half penalty before he made amends with the opener on 54 minutes, but the lead proved short-lived with Jordan Rhodes levelling matters two minutes later. Jamie McCombe grabbed the winner for Huddersfield six minutes from time to send them into third spot. Sheffield Wednesday maintained their fine form as they came from behind to beat Bristol Rovers 6-2 at Hillsborough. Goals from Chris Sedgwick (10), Tommy Miller (23), Gary Teale (26) and Jermaine Johnson (32) cancelled out Will Hoskins' opener after seven minutes. Hoskins grabbed another on 66 minutes with a superb effort before James O'Connor added a fifth on 71 minutes and Paul Heffernan completed the rout nine minutes from time to send the Owls up to second spot. Bournemouth missed the chance to close the gap on the leading pack after going down 1-0 at home to Hartlepool thanks to James Brown's 31st minute effort. Brentford stunned Southampton with a 2-0 win at St Mary's thanks to goals from Gary Alexander (13) and Charlie MacDonald (28) Plymouth secured bragging rights in their Devon derby with Exeter with a 2-0 win at Home Park, with Bradley Wright-Phillips the hero for the home side with both goals. Thomas Ince scored to help Paul Ince's Notts County a 2-0 victory over 10-man MK Dons at Meadow Lane. Aaron Wilbraham was sent off for the Dons on 75 minutes and Ince, who is on loan from Liverpool, made the numerical advantage count for the home side with the crucial opener four minutes from time and Lee Hughes added a second in the closing seconds. Two late goals from Medy Elito (82) and Danny Green (89) earned Dagenham & Redbridge a shock 2-0 win over Carlisle at Brunton Park. Colchester remain outside the play-off positions after a goalless home draw with struggling Yeovil. Leyton Orient leapfrogged Tranmere in the table with a 2-1 win over their fellow strugglers at Prenton Park. Stephen Dawson (10) and Scott McGleish (45) put Orient in control before Scott Wootton reduced the arrears on 61 minutes, but the visitors held on for the three points.
