Spireites midfielder signs 12-month deal
Chesterfield midfielder Jamie Lowry has signed a new one-year contract that keeps him at the club until June 2011.
The 23-year-old made 15 appearances for the Spireites last season before suffering cruciate ligament damage that curtailed the remainder of his campaign.
Lowry is still on the sidelines recovering from the injury and has thanked the club for their support by putting a 12-month deal on the table.
"This is the worst injury of my career and I appreciate the support shown by the club," he told the club's
official website.
"I have spent most of the summer at Lilleshall and am hoping that I can build on the progress made there now we are back for pre-season.
"I want to get back into full training as soon as possible."
Meanwhile, Wade Small has rejected the chance to pen fresh terms with the Spireites and has now left with immediate effect.
