Chesterfield have signed teenage winger Callum Greaves from non-league neighbours Hallam FC.

The 17-year-old has joined the Spireites' academy ranks, after scoring two goals so far this season in the Toolstation NCEL Division One.

"Callum is someone who is going to benefit the group," said Chesterfield academy manager Mark Smith.

"Playing for Hallam has given him exposure to playing against more experienced players so he's going to be a little bit ahead of the others in that respect."

Hallam manager Ryan Hindley thinks the Sky Bet League 1 club are getting a good player for their future.

He said: "Callum looks like a man in a 17-year-old's body. He will tackle, he is strong in the air and he will finish. What more do people want?"
