Saddlers snap up Fitzgerald

Walsall have snapped up Brentford striker Scott Fitzgerald on loan.

Fitzgerald has struggled to hold down a regular place in the Brentford side this season starting only four games all term.

Bees boss Martin Allen is willing to loan Fitzgerald out so that he can get valuable first team action.

"It has been hard to fit Scott in, but we are all aware of his goalscoring record, but I'm sure he will do very well for them," said Allen.

Fitzgerald is expected to go straight into the Walsall squad for this weekend's clash with Oldham.
